Tin disulfide is a n type semiconductor material, has layer of the six part Cdl2 crystal structure, broadband gap is about 2.35eV, has similar energy gap width as silicon and absorption coefficient is very high.


Used as holographic records and electric conversion system material, solar cell and lithium battery anode material, suitable for the absorbing layer of solar cells. Also used for artifical/decorative gold-plating and in manufacturing of artificial gold pigment
